Multi-Skilled Engineer

My client based in Sedgefield is looking for a time served Multiskilled Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role is to work for an established company, who are market leaders in their respective industry.

The ideal candidate will be Mechanically biassed with direct FMCG/Manufacturing experience, and be able to demonstrate an advanced level of skill and understanding within the role.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Carry out planned maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance plan
• Attend and repair breakdowns as required, and report all actions carried out and any further actions required
• Experience in PLC Control systems, and PLC fault finding experience in servo drivers and RS Networks (including Ethernet, Device Net communications) would be beneficial.
• Report in a comprehensive manner, all work activities carried out on a daily/shift basis
• Be proactive in preventing equipment failures and improving overall equipment performance by generating and implementing ideas and modifications
• Provide a service that meets agreed service levels, including minimising downtime and communicating effectively with relevant personnel
• Provide a service that meets industry standards, whilst maintaining standards of housekeeping and personal hygiene
• Maintain and help improve health and safety standards and ensure that staff work in a safe environment by eliminating, minimising, and controlling risks to themselves and others.

Rate: 40-43k per annum

Hours: 12hr shifts, 3 on 3 off, Days/Nights

Role: Permanent, Immediate start for the right candidate
