Job Opportunity: Junior Technical Specialist Location: Coventry, CV2 Salary: £23,800 per annum Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours per week) Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays Are you passionate about technology and eager to grow your career in a dynamic business? Empowered Personnel is looking for a Junior Technical Specialist to join their client based in Coventry, CV2. This position would suit someone with a keen interest in technology and computers, particularly those who are proficient with Microsoft packages and have a solid understanding of routers. You'll need to know how to install programs onto computers and ideally have experience or the ability to configure electronic devices such as CCTV systems. You should also be comfortable working with hand tools and able to crimp and wire electrical devices. If you're a college graduate with a degree in IT or similar, this could be a perfect opportunity to start your career in a hands-on, tech-driven role. Key Responsibilities: • Programming and configuring routers, Android devices, DVRs, and cameras • Remote configuration and installation of Windows-operated units and OS images • Testing software on a range of products • Ensuring the highest quality control of mechanical and electrical equipment • Crimping and wiring electrical devices, modifying or repairing structures as needed • Maintaining detailed records of all work completed What We’re Looking For: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems • Understanding of routers, and ability to troubleshoot and solve common computer issues • Experience with basic hand tools and power tools • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with repetitive tasks • Organised, methodical, and able to work independently Additional Information: You will be part of a small, supportive team of three, reporting to the Technical Manager.
