Parts Advisor

Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with one of the UKs largest independent 4x4 dealerships to recruit a Parts Advisor in Chelmsford.

Our client has been established for over 50 years and offers in excess of 2000 premium vehicles for sale at their state-of-the-art multi-floor showroom.

The Parts Advisor will identify and locate vehicle products from inventory but at times will be require to source parts not readily available and make arrangements for prompt delivery. In addition, will provide needed parts to internal departments in order to support and deliver excellent customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Research parts information through all means necessary to obtain a solution, liaising with the Service Manager
• Determine the most appropriate supplier for various parts
• Provide parts and/or accessories in a timely fashion
• Provide accurate and clear information with regard to all parts
• Ensure deliveries are promptly received and notify internal/external customers accordingly
• Check parts deliveries for damage, quality and quantity
• Warehouse duties including the storing of parts, setup of new parts as required
• Expand parts storage area in a clean and well-organised fashion
• Secure warranty parts, properly tag/sort parts and promptly return to source
• Maintain current knowledge base in vehicle parts and with changes in sourcing parts
• Any other duties as instructed by senior management

Person Specification

• Experience in a vehicle parts department
• Knowledge in vehicle mechanical/electrical systems
• Strong computer and internet skills
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Kerridge/Keyloop
