Nuclear Project Engineer - Piping Coordination

We now have exciting permanent opportunities for a motivated and suitably qualified Nuclear Project Engineer - Piping Coordination to join our Technical Communities based in the South West of England. Join us and be part of making a valuable contribution to the mega-infrastructure, Nuclear New Build project at Hinkley Point C (HPC). Responsibilities: Review and assess FCR (Field Change Requests) and NCR (site Non-Conformance) issued by the construction team Work closely with various stakeholders to identify and resolve technical topics including FCR and NCR through characterisation, remediation, and delegation. Coordinate with Front Office and Construction Teams to Facilitate smooth information flow, request additional details, and ensure thorough communication. Provide technical support and expertise to close all open points / technical queries raised by the contractors. Provide a decisive escalation route for deadlocked issues and innovative solutions. Manage technical risk and advocate for pragmatic decision-making. Support engineering services for HPC with a focus on value engineering and optimisation. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience: A relevant degree in engineering or science. If relevant, you should have achieved or be working towards chartership in that discipline. Piping-Mechanical installation and piping design experience Broad experience in the nuclear industry FCR and NCR management experience On site experience in a highly regulated environment Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication, and effectively influence diverse stakeholders.
