TRAINEE SALES ADMINISTRATOR A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work with one of our long-term engineering clients based in Burgess Hill. This trainee position would suit someone who enjoys administration, has good attention to detail but also who wants to build a career in a niche and growing engineering company This role provides administrative support to the sales and process engineering departments.  As this is a trainee role the salary would be £19500 for under 21-year-olds and £22308 for 21-year-olds and over. _________________________________________________________________ DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Processing new sales leads and opportunities for the team, including the preparation of tender documents • Managing technical documents in line with Company QA procedures • Monitoring of correspondence between the sales team and clients • Answering phone calls and liaising with clients as required • Scheduling of diaries, meetings and meeting rooms • Monitoring and updating the Company CRM (database) • Managing and updating central sales documents and presentations • Assisting in the preparation of pre-qualification documentation • Using own initiative to pro-actively develop new admin systems in conjunction with sales managers and Business Development Director • Ensuring relevant bid/estimate signoffs are attained in line with Quality Procedures • Booking of departmental travel • General sales and administrative duties as may be required. _________________________________________________________________ COMPETENCIES • Extremely organised with good attention to detail • Able to manage and prioritise a diverse workload • An interest in engineering would be advantageous; an eagerness to develop product and industry knowledge is essential • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel. _________________________________________________________________ EXCELLENT COMPANY BENEFITS • Hours of work, 37½ hours per week: Monday – Thursday 08.30 - 17.30 with ¾ hour lunchbreak Friday 08.30 - 13.00 no lunchbreak • Holidays: 22 days per year, increasing after a full calendar years’ service by one day per year to a maximum of 25 days. Fridays are counted as a half-day holiday. The office is closed between Christmas and New Year. Holiday must be reserved for this period. • Pension: The Company will match contributions up to 7% into our direct contribution pension scheme. • Life Insurance: Death-in-Service cover at the rate of 4 times salary. • Private Health Care Employees are eligible to join the private health care scheme after 6 months’ service. Employee dependants can be covered at their own cost but as part of the group scheme
