Job Requirements / Description
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of major highways infrastructure projects, including road construction, sewer systems, bridges, and general highways development. Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor * Manage cost control for highways infrastructure projects, including roads, sewers, bridges, and highways * Prepare detailed budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accurate cost tracking * Oversee subcontractor agreements, payments, and negotiations * Conduct valuations, final accounts, and provide regular cost updates to stakeholders * Identify and manage project risks and commercial issues, providing viable solutions * Ensure compliance with NEC and JCT contract forms and project requirements * Assist in procurement and supply chain management for materials and services * Lead the commercial team, providing guidance and support to junior quantity surveyors Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor * Proven experience working on highways infrastructure projects, with a focus on roads, sewers, bridges, and highways * Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contract forms * Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field * Excellent financial management, valuation, and reporting skills * Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously * Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
