Our client is a leading consultancy within the Capital Markets sector and is expanding its global team. This is a chance to join their London-based team as a PMO Consultant.
The role involves working on a range of complex transformation projects for major financial institutions. As part of the team during a phase of rapid growth, you will contribute to high-impact projects while collaborating with skilled colleagues.
As a PMO Consultant, your role will focus on client delivery and refining service offerings, ensuring the company:
1. Meets client demands within their domain.
2. Provides top-tier service.
3. Expands into new markets and service areas.
Main Responsibilities:
Client Delivery:
You will lead PMO activities across multiple client projects, such as:
- Setting up governance structures.
- Aligning project priorities with business goals.
- Tracking and reporting on project progress.
- Managing risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).
- Facilitating team communication and managing escalations.
- Performing quality assurance on outputs like PowerPoint presentations, Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and Target Operating Models (TOMs).
Service Definition:
You'll develop and implement frameworks to standardize project delivery, helping clients achieve their objectives efficiently. This includes:
- Creating and updating project templates.
- Defining delivery metrics.
- Preparing toolkits for new projects.
- Providing internal training on governance standards.
Team & Culture:
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Bringing a proactive and solution-oriented attitude to the team.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Handling other duties as required, aligned with the company’s growth strategy.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services within a top consultancy.
- Participation in a Capital Markets graduate scheme.
- Hands-on PMO experience, including project tracking, reporting, and RAID management.
- Strong capability in planning and managing end-to-end project plans.
- Familiarity with change request processes.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, especially advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables), alongside solid data analysis skills.
- Exceptional communication abilities with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge in areas like:
- Margin and Collateral Management
- Post-Trade processes (custody, settlements)
- Treasury operations
- Risk management (market, credit, operational)
- Client onboarding processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, with a minimum classification of 2:1 or equivalent.
