HEAD OF REWARD & RECOGNITION


Location: Weybridge, Surrey (KT13 0SL)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent


The Head of Reward & Recognition will provide strong and professional thought leadership, offering strategic oversight in the development of pay, reward, benefits, and performance strategies.

Your role will involve providing visionary leadership and strategic direction, ensuring that our reward programs not only attract and retain top talent but also align with the company’s broader goals.


As Head of Reward & Recognition, you will establish and reinforce strong policy and procedural foundations within the Reward function, creating a framework that supports all reward-related activities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end compensation and benefits strategies
  • Creating associated policies, governance and aligned processes
  • Deliver an effective service to a range of employees across the business
  • Take ownership for reward processes including: salary review, bonus allocation, job grading and harmonization
  • Ensuring regular salary and benefits benchmarking and surveying activity
  • Ensure compliance with reward processes, including data processing
  • Manage the reward aspect of all People policies
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding processes with robust reward processes
  • Line management responsibility of Reward Analyst
  • Chair monthly RemCom meetings, setting agenda’s and themes for the month


Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Experience of reward and recognition processes including salary review, recognition incentives, bonus allocation, job grading and harmonisation
  • Experience of regular salary and benefits benchmarking and surveying activity.
  • Proven capabilities as a senior leader and manager, with a proactive flexible and inclusive management style
  • Flexibility and pragmatism and the ability to think strategically
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports and briefs
  • The ability to make logical, well-balanced and reasoned decisions
  • Excellent organisational skills and problem solving skills
  • Energy, enthusiasm and confidence
  • A willingness to work flexibly as and when required
