About the role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2024, offering a daily rate of £100 - £120. This role has become available due to the expansion of our team to support our growing student population. As an HLTA, you will work closely with our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, supporting the class teacher and leading small group sessions. You will be responsible for covering classes during teacher absences, ensuring continuity in students' learning. You will be working with a class size of around 25-30 students, ensuring each child receives the attention and support they need to succeed. Application Requirements:• A relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.• Proven experience working with primary school children, particularly in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.• Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children. Key Responsibilities:• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.• Lead small group sessions and provide targeted support to students.• Cover classes during teacher absences and ensure a smooth continuation of learning.• Support the social and emotional development of students.• Work with SEN students and implement individual education plans (IEPs).• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.
