Field Service Engineer

Job Title: Field Service Engineer Location: Midlands, UK Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE (Weekly paid) Benefits: * 30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays). * Health and dental benefits. * Overtime pay: Time and a half on Saturdays, double time on Sundays. * Fully stocked company van provided. Job Overview: Heels & Brogues Recruitment are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our clients team in the Midlands area. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial air compressors, dryers, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and delivering excellent service to our customers. Travel to customer sites, including occasional overnight stays, is required. A fully stocked company van will be provided. Key Responsibilities for Field Service Engineer: * Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing on air compressors, dryers, and related systems. * Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime. * Install and commission new equipment. * Provide technical support and advice to customers. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. * Maintain detailed service records and reports. * Provide emergency breakdown support, with occasional out-of-hours work. * Travel to customer sites, which may require overnight stays for several days at a time. Requirements for Field Service Engineer: * Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally in air compressors or similar equipment. * Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. * Knowledge of compressed air systems, pneumatics, or hydraulics is a plus. * Full UK driving license. * Willingness to travel and stay away from home when necessary. * Ability to manage service schedules independently. * Excellent communication and customer service skills
