Senior Quality Engineer (APQP)

APQP Engineer Highly Competitive Salary Automotive West Midlands Region (home based) My tier one Automotive client is currently seeking a high calibre APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Engineer to support their first-class engineering division. Although the UK head office is based in the Midlands, this position will be home based with travel to customers and suppliers when required. Your duties and responsibilities will include: * Lead programs and achieve key objectives with targets met within timing, quality, budget etc. * Ensure preparation of prototype, pre-launch and production APQP documents. * Ensure all PPAP documents are correct, up-to-date and controlled. * Confirming quality development tools are adequately planned and developed (design FMEA, design verification plan, process FMEA) to ensure the quality of product realization. * Validates initial gauges and control fixtures specifications, and acceptance. * Participate in the reviews of all customer specifications. * Ensures the correct testing and measuring of all sample parts. What we’re looking for: * A mechanical engineering background. * Experience within the Automotive sector and familiar with their processes. * Experience within quality assurance such as APQP and project management. * Strong communication skills. * Excellent analytical skills. * Ideally degree educated
