Warehouse Labourer/Operative

We are currently looking for a Factory Labourer/Operative to work in a busy company in Westerhope, Newcastle. Duties include * Measuring and cutting metals for door construction * Assist Welders * Paint and prep plates, guides, etc... * Complete basic assembly tasks. * Assembly and dismantling of racking * Wrap door parts in preparation for despatch . * Construct wood pallets as per instruction. * Move materials in accordance with safe manual handling standards * Use a Counterbalance FLT * Keeping site tidy and safe * Loading, lifting and tidy up of stores area * General tidy up of metal products both in yard and factory site * General labouring tasks detailed by the Production Controller. * Sorting and packing goods in a factory yard * Working both inside and outside * Helping as a floater where and when required in the site within manufacturing areas The person * Must be happy working inside and outside in a factory yard * Have Labouring experience in a similar environment - please note that this is a factory environment and not a construction site * Have previous measuring and cutting experience in particular with metals * Be able to lift and load * Ideally hold a Counterbalance Forklift licence * Be able to work unsupervised * Be able to work on own initiative This role will be permanent for the right person after a short probation period
