Your new company
Based in County Tyrone, your new employer is a smaller family-run civil engineering contractor who specialise in civil projects including groundworks, street and roadworks, utilities, leisure and recreation projects, earthworks, drainage and water main installations. This company has been steadily growing over the last 15 years and has worked with many reputable names within the construction industry. Due to ongoing work and being awarded new projects, this employer is looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team.With easy to commutable offices, local amenities nearby and no travel outside of Northern Ireland, this role will give you the opportunity to grow the business further and play a key role in the development and structure of the company.
Your new role
Joining a small team, as Contracts Manager, work alongside the Senior Management team, being involved in all aspects of the business from tender stage, pricing works, and overseeing delivery of smaller civils schemes across NI.This role will see you take on responsibility for multiple projects ranging in size and value from £50k to £1mil, focusing specifically on civils, groundworks, and road realignment projects. With all of their workload based in Northern Ireland, this role will see you based in their County Tyrone offices and carrying out some site visits throughout the week. You will manage client expectations, sit on tender and progress meetings, take on some pricing and estimating duties and ensure each project is carried out to the highest standard and quality, while ensuring safe practices are being maintained by your site teams.You will be afforded the chance to manage your own diary and carry out site visits as required while helping the business grow and win new business.
What you'll need to succeed
This role will require a driven individual who has experience of working across the civil engineering sector and ideally managing multiple civils projects from inception to completion. You will be required to have strong commercial knowledge as well as contractual experience of working on NEC / JCT contracts, as well as be able to commute to the office in County Tyrone. Along with good commercial and contractual knowledge within the sector, this role is suited to a committed and driven individual who can organise work and manage multiple projects with the right individual will being rewarded for their time and efforts.
