A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and career-oriented Transport Supervisor to join a successful, well-established and market-leading business on a full time, permanent basis in Fakenham, Norfolk.
This is a Monday to Friday position only, working a static AM shift 6.30am/7am until 3pm/3.30pm.

Directly reporting into the Logistics Manager, you will work within a small transport team and provide essential support in ensuring that legislative requirements are adhere to, that drivers' hours are fully compliant and that relevant data regarding transport checks, defect reporting, servicing and MOT's as well as H&S legislation is complied with. As Transport Supervisor you will ensure route optimisation savings are achieved. In addition, you will also make certain that corrective actions are investigated, analysed and actioned to continuously improve working practices.
You will liaise daily with your driving and transport team, debrief and support wherever possible to ensure that the operation runs smoothly as a legally compliant and cost-effective logistics department. You may need to deputise for the Logistics Manager when required. It would be great if you possess Manager CPC, however the client is also keen to hear from candidates that are willing to study towards this qualification and you will be fully supported to achieve this. It would also be an advantage (not essential) if you hold HGV licences.
From a management perspective, a collaborative and very much team focused approach is required, and due to daily liaison with both production and customer services departments, exceptional communication and organisational skills and the ability to build rapport and trust will be essential. You should be prepared to challenge the status quo in a constructive, diplomatic manner to suggest ways in which the department, and success of the team can be made better; creative solutions to problems will be encouraged.
