Senior EMC Engineer

You will work closely with Component Engineers, the Test and development and Quality Assurance teams to ensure global EMC compliance is adhered to. We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior EMC Engineer to join the Electrical/Electronic Systems Engineering Team. As part of this team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility of pioneering electrical and electronic components for integration into their vehicles. Key Responsibilities as Senior EMC Engineer: Serve as the technical lead for Electromagnetic compatibility. Develop and manage specifications and documentation. Ensure components conform to applicable standards and requirements. Manage the component database in collaboration with Component Engineers. Oversee test plans with suppliers to meet stage gate deliverables and support reviews where necessary. Develop and follow best practice working procedures to support EMC activities. Create and publish EMC KPIs for component compliance status to the EES leadership team on a regular basis (monthly) for each project. Support component hardware reviews with suppliers when necessary. Chair the internal EMC working group with key stakeholders to maintain a robust and applicable EMC approach. Support whole vehicle EMC testing alongside our T&D team when necessary.Qualifications and Skills as Senior EMC Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Significant relevant experience in EMC within the automotive industry. Similar roles outside automotive will be considered. Extensive experience in EMC engineering, with a strong understanding of standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Experience with vehicle electrical architectures based on CAN systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in managing requirements and developing test plans. Experience with the full product life cycle from concept through to vehicle launch. Proven experience in delivering electrical systems and components. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
