Site Facilities Manager – Up to £65,000 + Benefits
Situation:
We are recruiting for a UK based rail company that provides maintenance, repair & overhaul to a number of major rail operators and manufacturers, with work extending across diesel and electric train types.
Based in Wolverton, on a 650,000sq foot site dedicated to maintaining and upgrading rolling stock, they are currently looking to strengthen their facilities management capabilities to support ongoing strategic development and asset management goals.
As part of their growth strategy, they are looking to appoint a Facilities Manager who will take responsibility for managing assets, coordinating property redevelopment in collaboration with the current landlord, and optimising utilities and property maintenance functions.
In light of the landlord’s interest in a potential lease buyout, the Facilities Manager will also play a pivotal role in strategic property discussions and planning for the future of Gemini’s facilities.
Opportunity:
The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a traditional rail facility, driving improvements and influencing property management practices.
Management position – Responsibility for managing and directing a team of 5.
Senior Leadership Role - act as a part of the Rail leadership team, contributing to broader operational decisions.
£1 million investment in the first year – will have full responsibility for planning and directing how this investment is allocated within the facility.
Ability to make a significant impact on energy efficiency.
Strategic position - opportunity to drive meaningful change and make a difference in the way facilities are managed within a traditional rail setting.
Essential Criteria To Secure An Interview:
Experience dealing with property lease agreements – Able to understand lease negotiations, renewals, and compliance.
Proven track record of improving utility usage and efficiency, with the ability to demonstrate specific examples of how their efforts have positively impacted utility utilisation and cost savings in previous roles.
Strong management experience – experience of previously directing and managing a team.
Previous experience of working in an industrial setting.
Salary & Package:
Up to £60,000
Extensive benefit package
Monday – Friday working hours (flexibility) – 40 hours per week.
