Cnc Grinder

Overview of daily duties This role involves loading/unloading, checking dimensions in line with inspection processes and general maintenance of multiple machines. Liaising with the nightshift on the morning changeover and ensuring stock of consumables are adequate. General: * To program, set up and operate CNC and manual machines * Cylindrical Grinding Skills * To be able to work to fine tolerances * Produce first-off components for inspection * Ensure components are produced to the highest standards as per specifications and drawings. * Inspect components during production to ensure drawing / spec requirements are maintained. * Be able to interpret operations sheets, drawings, sketches and CAD to program and set up parts * To clean and undertake preventative maintenance of machines * Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required. Skills / Experience: * Experience with programming, setting and operating Studer CNC Grinders and manual machines * Be able to read and interpret engineers’ drawings and tolerances. * Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques. * Familiar with Aerospace AS9100D requirements in relation to CNC grinder’s role. * Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required
