Project Engineer

Our client designs, manufactures and installs equipment used predominantly within the electrical power and distribution industry and are looking to recruit a Project Engineer. Current projects range in value from £2,000 to £1.5M and consist of noise solutions such as doors, screens and enclosures. The company are keen to recruit a bright, driven individual who can support the team.Benefits: Hours: Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5pm, Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm25 days holiday plus bank holidaysCPD certification support and a real prospect of progressionPensionDeath in service benefitsFree on-site parkingDuties:Support the Project Managers in the management of site works within the agreed contract periodEnsure the company’s Health and Safety and Environmental policies are adhered toProgramme work to ensure labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors are available when requiredTake off material quantities and expedite material deliveries as requiredPlace all required purchase orders with suppliersMaintain the project files including weekly diary, method statements, delivery tickets, work sheets,Continually seek to improve all aspects of quality and serviceMake the most efficient use of resources at available for plant and materialsLiaise with internal staff, subcontractors and clientsAchieve the highest possible degree of Client interface and satisfactionOccasionally will be required to travel to sites, clients, sub-contractors or suppliers which may require staying away overnight.Experience: Qualified to HNC or degree level in an engineering subjectSome experience of working in a project engineering environment.SSSTS or SMSTS preferredAble to utilise MS Office suite essentialOwn transport is essential
