Hgv Class 2 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Irlam area. We are looking for a dedicated Class 2 Driver (CAT C) to join the team. Hours: Monday to Friday, start times between 4am and 6am (8-10 hour shifts). Pay Rates: £15.00 per hour PAYE. Location: Irlam, M44. Job Type: Ongoing position with the opportunity for permanent for the right candidate. The role: · Deliver carpets and flooring to commercial and residential properties within the local area. · Complete up to 25 drops per day, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. · Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift. · Utilise electronic Proof of Delivery (POD) systems to confirm successful deliveries. · Perform intense manual handling, including loading and unloading heavy items. · Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour while interacting with customers. · Report any issues with deliveries or vehicle maintenance promptly. Requirements: · Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C). · Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. · No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). · Full understanding of WTD legislation. · Excellent communication skills. · A safety-first mindset. · Ability to lift heavy items and handle physical tasks effectively. · Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
