Job Description

We seeking experienced physiotherapists to join our dynamic and rapidly growing stroke service in Carmarthenshire, based at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. This exciting role involves supporting acute rehabilitation and facilitating early discharge from hospital for individuals who have experienced a stroke.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver rehabilitation in both hospital and home settings to support patients' recovery and transition to independence.
  • Work collaboratively with established acute and community stroke teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Provide person-centred rehabilitation to stroke survivors, enabling them to return home and regain their independence.


About the Role: This is a unique opportunity for physiotherapists passionate about stroke rehabilitation to work across the stroke pathway. You will play a crucial role in delivering care both in the hospital and within the community, supporting patients' recovery from acute stroke units to home-based rehabilitation.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • HCPC Registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Proven experience in stroke rehabilitation or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of rehabilitation techniques and pathways.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and collaborate with team members.
