Trainee Tax Accountant

Our client is a top-tier Accountancy practice based in the heart of Belfast and is currently looking to recruit a Trainee Tax Accountant to their growing team! This is a great opportunity for an excellent graduate or someone with previous experience within a finance role looking to specialize in the area. The successful applicant will mainly assist in the preparation of VAT returns, corporation, and individual tax returns. Responsibilities Regularly interacting with clients through phone, email, and in-person meetings Preparing corporation and individual tax returns Drafting VAT returns Supporting advisory projects Opportunities to participate in transactional work i.e. M&A and complex tax consulting Assisting with various projects and offering support across different business areas Essential Criteria Degree qualification, ideally in a numerate subject or discipline demonstrating your analytical skills Strong numerical ability Analytical skills and critical thinking Proficient IT skills in MS Office and Excel Confident in communication Relevant experience in a practice environment highly desirable Skills: VAT Tax Accountancy Trainee Corporation Tax
