Technical Estimator

Position Overview: My clients are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Estimator to join their growing team. The Technical Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate and timely cost estimates for projects. This role will be primarily office-based, but the successful candidate will also conduct site surveys across the UK, mainly in London, as required. Ideally, the candidate will have prior experience in the construction, electrical or smoke alarm industry. Key Responsibilities: * Estimating & Costing: Prepare detailed cost estimates for their systems. * Project Assessment: Review technical drawings, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate project estimates and identify any potential risks or challenges. * Site Surveys: Travel to project sites to conduct site surveys and assessments. * Technical Liaison: Work closely with the sales and project management teams. * Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of all estimates, site surveys, and related documentation for reference throughout the project lifecycle. Experience: * Experience in technical estimating, project costing, or a related role. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential challenges and propose effective solutions. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with estimation software or tools.
