Management Accountant

Job Title: Management Accountant Salary: £45,000 (DOE) Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am - 5pm (1 hour lunch) Location: Castle Douglas About the Role Talento Group is excited to be recruiting for a well-established company in the agriculture and construction sectors. This family-run business is experiencing significant growth and is looking for a talented Management Accountant to join their team. This position has arisen due to the company's ongoing growth, reflecting its need to expand and enhance internal capabilities to better manage financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts with a focus on both agricultural and construction sectors. Provide in-depth financial analysis, including quantity analysis, budgeting, and capital expenditure planning / NPV analysis. Develop and maintain a 5-year capital expenditure plan. Build strong relationships within the team, including regular interaction with the Office Manager. Take ownership of the company's financial decision-making process, providing accurate and timely insights. Help the business operate more efficiently by being proactive with key financial information. Skills & Experience: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to ask questions and engage with team members. Advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of financial analysis. Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new systems, including an bespoke ERP system - ibcos - (url removed) in producing management accounts and supporting financial budgeting processes. Experience in the agriculture, plant equipment, or construction sectors would be advantageous. IT-savvy and comfortable with learning new systems and technologies.
