Caretaker - Primary School

Job Title: Temporary Primary School Caretaker Location: Archway, Islington Type: Full-time, Temporary Duration: End of October until Christmas We are seeking an experienced Caretaker to join a primary school based in Archway, Islington on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the school premises, ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well-maintained. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily maintenance tasks and minor repairs around the school. Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and presentable at all times. Open and close the school, ensuring security protocols are followed. Monitor heating, lighting, and security systems. Liaise with external contractors for larger maintenance tasks. Perform regular health and safety checks and maintain relevant records. Support with setting up and clearing spaces for school activities and events.Requirements: Previous experience as a caretaker in a primary school setting is essential. Strong knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety protocols. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Flexibility to perform various duties as required. Must be able to work full-time hours.
