Instrument Engineer

On behalf of our EPC client, Petroplan is seeking a Instrument Engineer for a large off-shore brownfield modification project. This role is based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Offered as hybrid with two days remote, 3 days in office.Outside IR35 Subject to assessment. 8 Month minimum period.Job Overview;As the instrument engineer you will design instrumentation systems in collaboration with other disciplines and produce documentation such as general arrangement drawings, electrical detail drawings, and loop drawings, whilst reviewing existing documentation and preparing packages for installation.Job Purpose:Design and develop instrumentation systems for offshore projectsProduce and review technical documentation (GA drawings, Electrical Detail Drawings, Loop drawings)Prepare work packages and specifications for installationSpecify and procure instrumentation, cables, and equipmentJob Requirements;Minimum 5 years' experience in offshore-related projectsStrong engineering design background with extensive knowledge of instrumentation in the oil industryProficiency in English; Norwegian skills are a plusKnowledge of standards: ATEX, Norsok, Equinor TR, STID, ProCoSysDegree in Instrumentation/Automation or equivalent experience in Brownfield modificationsOffshore certification/experienceAbout PetroplanPetroplan is the trusted, specialist global Talent Solutions partner of choice for employers and professionals in the Energy sector.
