Technical Sales Engineer We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our clients team in Lisburn The successful candidate will interface directly with customers. The role works as part of a team of other Applications and Sales engineers and have excellent technical expertise on the specific application as relevant per customer. General Responsibilities: Utilizes product knowledge and application understanding to support our clients existing business opportunities and ensure best product offering. strong knowledge of key applications in growth segments at customers. Presents in regular meetings with customers to provide an emphasis on spec alignment and technical problem solving. Supports existing customers on new product development projects under development. Communicate business and technical information between the key customers and internal employees Provide strategic technical assessment of business opportunities in cooperation with product teams. Evaluate opportunities based on the entire value chain, considering several criteria, such as technological differentiators, strategic fit, profitability, and timing. Participate in design review sessions, both customer and internal, as required. Conduct drawing and specification reviews with customers. Ensure projects meet customer requirements and quality standards. Help develop and refine product configurations to meet application needs that capitalize on the company's strengths and products. Provide onsite technical assistance to the sales team at industry trade shows and customer demonstrations and tech days. Negotiate technical specifications and compliance considering product offering and the application needs. Experience / Qualifications: A technical university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. Strong technical skills, ideally in mechanical engineering, aerospace, automotive or industry related products Communication and Influence Skills: Actively listens beyond product needs. Customer Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the customer - businesses, organizational structure, value drivers, products and services, and competitive market positions. Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
