Revenue Accountant

Kenny Recruit are actively recruiting for a Revenue Accountant for a insurance and reinsurance broker. This is a 12 month contract position and we are looking for someone who is available at very short notice.The role is to provide support to the Operations and Finance teams, with focus on the reporting and analysis functions. You will oversee the flow of data from the broking system to the finance ledger. This will include revenue reporting and cash analytics, whilst also providing robust MI and insight to drive business performance.To be considered for this role you MUST have worked in revenue roles and ideally worked within the insurance or financial services sectors, we can be flexible on the latter.Pay: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependant on experience) + benefitsLocation: Central London - 3 days in the officeWorking hours: 9:00am - 5:30pmDuties to include but not limited to:Oversee the flow of data from systems of record into financial ledgerProvide timely MI and insight to support and partner the lines of businessProvide robust analysis and insight to drive business performanceManage the monthly revenue flash process, including system reconciliationsPreparation of cash reporting at all stages throughout the processEnsure processes are in place and kept up to date in order to ensure the completeness and validity of MIConduct regular process and controls reviews and provide recommendations for improvement where necessaryEngage with business, IT and Finance functions as well as outsourcing partner on fiduciary matters, act as point of escalation as necessaryManagement of internal and external audit requirements on financial data within Broking systemProvide requirements for system changes and IT roadmap, with UAT support as necessaryAd hoc support for projects arising in the Operations and Finance teamsWhat we need:Preferably experience of working within London Market insurance accountingQualified AccountantStrong relationship management skills with the ability to communicate at all levelsAttention to detail, numerate and technically proficientHighly proficient / experienced in analysing large amounts of data with advanced excel skillsNext Steps…We've been candidates too, so we know how frustrating it is if you don’t hear back from a job application.
