R&D Chemist (Synthesis - Organometallic / Inorganic compounds) NE England Permanent Our NE based client synthesise and produce a range of organic / inorganic / organometallic compounds, they are actively looking for an R&D Chemist to devise successful routes to synthesise a variety of inorganic and organometallic compounds. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will working as a part of a team of Chemists Duties for this role will include : Understanding new projects to synthesise complex inorganic / organometallic compounds Using literature to uncover new approaches to produce target compounds or to improve existing routes Working with air sensitive compounds , ensuring H&S protocols are followed at all times Scaling up reactions to larger / pilot plant scale , ensuring successful transfer Performing in house analyses and organising / supporting compound characterisation testing activities Liaising with other Chemists and technical team members Writing detailed reports, Risk Assessments Applications are invited from candidates with a PhD in Organometallic / Inorganic synthesis together with proven demonstrable skills and experience working with air-sensitive compounds This is a permanent opportunity offering an attractive salary (depending on skills and experience) Role – Permanent Location – NE England
