The role: An exciting opportunity has arisen at Gower College Swansea for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis, supporting students in their academic journey. Part-time (25 - 30 hours per week) Term-time (36 weeks per annum) Fixed term until 31st August 2025 Based on 25 hours per week, pro rata salary would be £12,633 per annum (£23,403 FTE) Tycoch campus Key Responsibilities: To provide one-to-one or small group support under lecturer direction as appropriate in the classroom setting. To assist with the development of learners' literacy and numeracy skills. To assist with the pastoral care needs of learners and to direct learners to other college support mechanisms as necessary. To provide learners with help in understanding oral and written instruction. To assist with the co-ordination of learners' work, record keeping and progress through liaison with lecturing and support staff at all levels within the College.
