About the School: SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a large, mainstream primary school in the Southwark area. About the SEN Teaching Assistant role: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child within Early Years as a one-to-one support. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in October until the end of the academic year, offering the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of children with special educational needs. SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities: Provide personalised one to one support to a child with a mild additional needs Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs). Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to ensure cohesive support strategies. Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all students. Monitor and record the progress of students, providing regular feedback to staff and parents. Utilize specialized strategies and interventions to support students' learning and development. SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements: Proven experience working with children with mild needs in either a mainstream/special school setting Strong knowledge of SEN best practices and interventions. Happy to provide personal care as well as encouraging developments In this area Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
