Maintenance Engineer

Due to continued growth Next Generation are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Sparkhill. As the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for providing critical theoretical and technical knowledge whilst implementing innovative improvements in complex and unpredictable situations. Shift pattern for the Maintenance Engineer: Week one (6:00am 14:00pm) Week two (14:00pm 10:00pm) Whats on offer for the Maintenance Engineer: Competitive rate of pay 33 days holiday (Inclusive of BHs) On-going training and development plans Workwear provided. Duties of the Maintenance Engineer: Conducting diagnostic investigation Maintain and repair plant machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise availability at optimum cost. Adhere to the preventative maintenance programmes to ensure that unplanned downtime is to a minimum. Defining key critical spares (budget control) Improvement projects to drive sustained solutions Root Cause Analysis to successfully implement Permanent Corrective Actions Liaise and support engineering / Projects with the buy off process and new part introduction, highlighting snagging and influencing improvement plans. The successful candidate for the Maintenance Engineers position will have the following experience: 3 5 years experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer (Essential) 16 th , 17 th , or 18 th edition certified Engineer (Desirable) Experience with Siemens S7 (Desirable) Fanuc / ABB qualification or equivalent Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are sometimes not able to respond directly to each candidate.
