We are searching for a number of remote working Integration Engineers (Senior and Middleweight) for our client a specialist healthcare solutions provider who are expanding their team due to their continued success and business growth.
You can be based anywhere in the UK to be considered for these vacancies as long as you have the right to work in the UK without company sponsorship.
You will play a crucial role in supporting various technology projects within the NHS, focusing on connecting systems together seamlessly. This customer-facing role requires a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and a deep understanding of the various integration engines that are used within NHS IT Systems.
Responsibilities
You will work closely with NHS clients to understand their integration requirements and challenges.
You will collaborate with clients to architect, design, and implement robust integration solutions tailored to their specific needs.
You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for integration-related inquiries and issues.
You will be conducting thorough analysis of existing systems and infrastructure to identify integration opportunities and potential roadblocks.
You will be responsible for the design and development of integration workflows, data mappings, and transformation logic to ensure smooth data exchange between systems.
You will configure and customise integration engines, middleware, and APIs to meet project requirements.
You will be leading integration testing efforts, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely resolutions to technical problems.
You will provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on software integration within the healthcare industry, preferably within the NHS.
In-depth knowledge of major integration engines (e.g., Health Connect, Iris, Rhapsody, Mirth) and other middleware technologies.
Familiarity with NHS systems, standards, and protocols, such as HL7, FHIR, and NHS Digital's APIs.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
Any experience of coding, using a mixture of JavaScript, Java, React or C# is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
