Job Title: Buyer Location: Derby (Hybrid) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent W Talent are delighted to be working with a leading industrial manufacturing company based in Derbyshire. We are looking for an experienced and driven Buyer to join their growing team of Purchasing experts following a period of rapid growth. Our client has a diverse range of products and are seen as one of the best providers in their industry, both nationally and globally. This is a hybrid role and a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to develop their Purchasing career with a large industrial business in the area. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and components to support the manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Working with established suppliers to source raw material and component parts, securing competitive pricing, quality, and lead times Identify new suppliers and engage in RFQs and onboarding for new products where necessary Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new suppliers Ensuring inventory levels are maintained efficiently, minimising stock risks Take responsibility for supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to contract terms Collaborating with the production and planning teams to ensure materials meet production schedules Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsRequirements: 2+ years' experience as Buyer within a manufacturing industrial environment Strong negotiation skills with a focus on cost-saving and supplier relationship management Knowledge of procurement best practices and experience with ERP/MRP systems Strong Excel skills Must have full right to work in the UK and live close enough to commit to 3-4 days per week near DerbyIf you're an experienced Buyer with a passion for supplier and internal stakeholder relationships and this sounds like an exciting opportunity to you, please don't hesitate to submit your CV
