Are you a proactive and results-driven procurement professional? Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Procurement Lead to join their team in Lancing on a temporary to permanent basis. This critical role will ensure the effective purchasing of goods and services, playing a key part in driving operational success. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess product and service needs. Work alongside the Supply Chain Manager to manage procurement activities such as supplier agreements, contract preparation, and tender management. Place and progress purchase orders while maintaining optimal stock levels in line with warehouse capacity and customer demand. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, liaising with the Planning and Customer Service teams to update delivery statuses. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive business improvements and achieve best practices. Monitor and resolve quality issues with incoming goods, working with the warehouse and quality teams. Continuously identify areas for process improvement and cost-efficiency while adhering to Health & Safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Be audit-ready at all times, maintaining a high standard of organisation and attention to detail.Ideal Candidate Profile: A strong communicator and influencer who can effectively liaise with internal teams and suppliers. Proven experience in procurement, with a track record of negotiating supplier agreements and managing contracts. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to make quick, informed decisions. Knowledge of supply chain management, stock control, and cost management. Able to maintain high standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Competencies: Action-oriented, with a drive for results. Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
