What You Will Do: Provide crucial support to the gearbox repair department through the dismantling and assembly of various types of industrial gearboxes. Produce detailed inspection reports highlighting operational issues, driving quality improvements. Interpret engineering data and documentation, ensuring gearboxes are assembled accurately and ready for installation. Work independently, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work, while also being a proactive problem-solver. Adhere to and promote standard work practices, focusing on quality, health & safety, and environmental activities. Respond effectively to emergency situations, showcasing your ability to manage challenges efficiently. What You Will Bring: An apprenticeship in a related field or sufficient experience in a similar role. A working knowledge of various types of gearboxes and the ability to work to instruction and on own initiative. Experience in using measuring and testing equipment to ensure components meet required quality and accuracy. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding solutions. GCSE or equivalent education, with health & safety, environmental, or quality training being advantageous.
