Role Overview:


The Chef de Partie plays a key role in supporting the Head Chef, leading meal prep and service when the Head Chef is managing administrative tasks. The Chef de Partie ensures smooth kitchen operations and high standards of meal preparation for our onsite clients, Monday to Friday.


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • Lead daily meal preparation and service: The Chef de Partie will regularly lead meal prep and service when the Head Chef is focusing on administrative or management tasks. They will ensure that all dishes are prepared according to the weekly menu and tailored to clients' dietary and treatment needs.
  • Manage kitchen operations: When the Head Chef is unavailable or focused on management duties, the Chef de Partie will oversee the kitchen’s day-to-day operations. This includes supervising kitchen staff, coordinating workflow, and ensuring that meals are prepared and delivered on time to meet Orri's high standards.
  • Oversee communication and consistency: The Chef de Partie will maintain open communication with Kitchen Team , including freelance chefs, ensuring smooth handovers, and keeping them updated on service details and menu execution. They will also ensure consistency in meal preparation and adherence to clients' dietary requirements.
  • Ensure hygiene and compliance: The Chef de Partie is responsible for maintaining food storage, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene practices that meet Orri’s 'Rated 5' Food Hygiene standards. They will report any compliance issues to the Head Chef and take proactive steps to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team: The Chef de Partie will work closely with the Head Chef and Clinical Team to ensure meals align with clients' treatment plans and dietary preferences, fostering a positive, supportive relationship with food during the recovery process.


Desired Skills & Expertise:


  • Level 3 Food Hygiene and COSHH certificates (training can be provided if required).
  • Previous experience within a kitchen / meal preparation setting is essential.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Keen to work within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage kitchen operations independently when required.
  • Has high level of physical stamina and ability to work consistently in a busy kitchen environment.
