Job overviewA new exiting opportunity has arisen to support the SWFT OPAT team and the new OPAT Vascular Access Service at Warwick Hospital.The role will involve supporting both services with clinical support worker and administration tasks.Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of doctors, pharmacists, nurses and support staff this role will ensure that both the OPAT and the OPAT Vascular Access service run smoothly to provide excellent patient care.This role involves dealing with patients and staff from other teams both face to face and over the phone requiring both compassion and an attention to detail. The role will be fully supported by the more senior members of the team. Main duties of the jobThe Clinical Support Worker will undertake high quality, caring and compassionate personal care and associated duties under the direction and supervision of the registered professional and working as part of the multi-disciplinary team. As a Clinical Support Worker (CSW) you make a valuable and important contribution to the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Trust. Your role is to support the registered professional in the delivery of safe, effective, compassionate care to patients and their relatives. Promote a professional, welcoming and uncluttered environment; keep all storage areas safe, clean and tidy.To share responsibility in the care and maintenance of all equipment in the clinical area including all equipment cleaning. Ensure all waste and soiled linen is disposed of in line with Trust policy.Participate in audit under the direction of the registered professionalClean and check beds, bed spaces and lockers following discharge and in preparation for admission (inpatient areas only).Ensure deliveries are stored correctly and stock maintained to the required level Support the housekeeper with general housekeeping duties, reporting as necessary essential cleaning needs (inpatient areas only).
