Bond Radar, the premier provider of real-time information on the international primary bond markets, is looking for a full time Senior Primary Market Bond Reporter to join its US news team. Focusing on investment grade and high yield new issue reporting, the position would ideally suit someone who has experience covering the bond markets, or has worked in an environment delivering real-time financial news. The candidate must have the ability to write accurately and concisely, and also to establish and maintain good contacts. The job is based in London. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified. Responsibilities The ability to break news in the international capital markets and react promptly to delivering real time updates; strong writing and editorial skills Proficient understanding of the primary bond markets and wider debt and financial markets Extensive source network in the investment grade and/or high yield markets Excellent networking and relationship building skills Strong communication and team management skills; the ability to work to daily and weekly deadlines via a staggered shift system First rate attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge and experience of using Bloomberg

Key responsibilities Responsible for the production of timely and accurate real-time rolling news across the US investment grade and high yield markets from initial mandate announcement throughout the execution process of each deal on a daily basis Responsible for writing and editing deal reviews (post-pricing) and market trend/feature pieces, as well as for the collation, writing and editing of weekly/monthly US market wraps ] Maintain US contact list and ensure market relationships with key contacts are upheld and developed via regular interaction, including a bi-annual trip to visit bond syndicates in New York Identify key market trends and shape departmental strategy accordingly; work with the Data Department on the development of US bond market data sets Work with the current US Editor to ensure efficient running of the desk and provide editorial support and training to junior members of the team
