An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in the West Midlands who are seeking a full-time, dedicated Registered Manager. They have plans to shut this home down in 12 months and rebuild, transitioning the children into homes within the estate.  They require someone with experience in handling compliance notices and motivational leadership. Job Title:                                            Registered Manager Contract Type:                                   Full time - Permanent Location:                                            West Midlands local authority Pay rate:                                            £400 per day inside IR35 umbrella About your role as the Registered Manager: To provide exceptionally strong and motivational leadership to all staff, leading by coaching and mentoring, and improve performance. To be the Registered Manager of the home and work with a multi-agency team, partners and OFSTED to support this. Manage a 12 bed children’s home ensuring an excellent standard of care that is underpinned by systemic therapeutic approaches and in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures, policies and ‘ Statement of Purpose’ for the home. Ensure the efficient, safe management of the home, including budget management, health and safety regulations, statutory regulations, adequate staffing levels and be part of an on-call system. To pro-actively lead culture change within the home using recognised change tools and techniques to deliver a service that’s fit for purpose. Transitioning all the children into new homes safely and happily. Your required experience as the Registered Manager: Social Work Qualified or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare. DBS Enhanced check will be a required for this role. Background in working with Children who have been diagnosed with Autism would be helpful. You will understand the pressures of the service and be legally responsible for helping your team to work to a high standard. Experience opening/closing a Children’s Residential home for a local authority would be desirable. Ideally you will have 2+ years’ experience as the registered manager for a children’s home. A strong track record of change management within children’s settings.
