My client is a growing food production company looking to bring in a new passionate and dedicated Food Production Sous Chef into their manufacturing team, guiding and managing a large team ensuring consistency across the many meals they produce daily and food production standards. Due to the times of operation at the manufacturing kitchen, the successful candidate will ideally have their own form of transportation. The duties and responsibilities of the Food Production Sous Chef will be: Managing the team of around 30 team members in producing consistently high-quality packaged meals. Ensuring all HAACP, COSHH and other food hygiene and health and safety standards and procedures are followed, in line with company policy. Occasionally supporting the team with cooking, following the recipe set by the Head and Executive Chef. The ideal Food Production Sous Chef will: Have experience in a production kitchen, in a supervisory role. Have experience in managing a large kitchen brigade, upwards of 20 team members. Have a good knowledge and understand of HAACP, COSHH and RIDDOR both in theory and practically. . Experience with SALSA or BRCE standards. Have a strong administrative kitchen background, in regards to food hygiene and safety.
