Introduction
We are working with a prestigious US law firm that is seeking a highly motivated Compliance Team Member to join their esteemed global Conflicts & Compliance Team. This exciting role spans both the New York and London offices, offering a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment. As part of a busy and experienced team, you will play a crucial role in managing new client and business acceptance and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and analyse conflict checks for new matters and pitches, ensuring adherence to compliance policies. Communicate effectively with fee-earners to gather necessary information and provide prompt conflict reports. Research and evaluate complex corporate structures to support comprehensive conflict searches. Implement and maintain compliance walls and adhere to sanctions procedures. Provide on-call coverage and assist with special projects as required.
Key Requirements
At least 2 years experience in a compliance, legal conflicts management, or risk team, ideally within a major US or Magic Circle law firm. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer-focused approach. Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of corporate structures and conflicts. Proficiency in using conflicts management platforms and related tools. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy.
