English Teacher - Bolton - October start A dedicated and passionate English Teacher is required to work at a high performing school in Bolton, to join them teaching key stage 3 and 4 from after the October half term break on an ongoing basis until Easter 2025 on a full-time basis. You will be joining a team of highly skilled and committed professionals who are relentless in their pursuit of excellence, in order to provide the best possible education for all our students. You will have the ambition to support the schools young people to on to lead both happy and successful lives. You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. A key focus in the classroom is AfL which helps guide teaching, throughout the whole school. The behaviour in class and around the school is often exemplary however, there are times when your behaviour management can be called into action, the behaviour policy is clear and concise to students who are well aware of sanctions that will be put upon them, with this in mind it allows teachers to teach to a high standard and maintain positive relationships. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS: Location Bolton Position English Teacher Type of work Full time Start date November 2024 End date April 2025 Contract type Temporary Minimum rate of pay GBP162.31 per day. Hours 8:30am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree with a good classification, ideally in English (desirable). Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B. Ed, QTS, etc) as an English Teacher Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a UK curriculum Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided). TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.20.
