Group CFO – Private Equity-Backed UK Retail Business Salary: £250,000 - £300,000 Bonus & Equity Location: London, England (Hybrid) AS10034 A leading UK-based multisite retail business, backed by a large-cap private equity investor, with £300m in revenue and 180 operating sites, is entering an exciting phase of growth and is on an exit trajectory within three years. With a clear plan to increase revenue and profitability over the next two years, the business will achieve this through both organic growth and strategic M&A across the UK. We are seeking a commercially astute and strategic CFO with extensive multisite experience to partner closely with the CEO and Private Equity investors, driving value creation throughout the investment cycle. This role is pivotal in ensuring robust financial management and will play a critical part in scaling the business and delivering a successful exit. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and board, focusing on UK growth through both organic and M&A-led initiatives Lead and execute the company's UK-focused expansion plans, primarily through M&A and organic strategies Collaborate with Private Equity investors to optimise value creation and achieve long-term business objectives Manage complex financial structures in a leveraged environment, working with banks and investors to support growth Build and scale a high-performing finance function, implementing systems and processes to support growth across multiple sites Oversee M&A activity in the UK, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition performance Key Requirements: Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a Private Equity-backed, multisite business Successful track record of driving growth through M&A and organic strategies within the UK market Expertise in managing financial structures in leveraged environments and working closely with banks Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and intellectual capability (IQ), with a people-centric leadership approach Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ideally within the retail or multisite sectors This is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in a high-growth UK retail business, with significant equity and a highly rewarding package.
