About the Role: Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a friendly and motivated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a SEMH school. The successful candidate will work on a 121 and small group basis working with students from primary to secondary with SEMH. The hours will be 8.30am-3.30pm each day. Key Responsibilities: Assist in Planning and Delivery: Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons. Support Pupils: Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, ensuring every child reaches their full potential. Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment. Assessment and Feedback: Assist in assessing pupils' work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress. Extra-Curricular Activities: Participate in and sometimes lead extra-curricular activities and school events. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to continually improve your skills and knowledge. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working in a school or young people setting. Understanding of the national curriculum. Prior experience working with students with SEN including SEMH. Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
