Business Unit:  Credit Risk Salary range: £56,000 - £70,000 DOE + red-hot benefits Location:  UK Flexible – with quarterly visits to HUBs for collaboration days (Glasgow, Gosforth). Our Team  The team provides oversight of personal credit decisions, ensuring credit underwriting standards along with wider credit processes are robust. Through oversight and independent investigation, the team provide assurance, support and recommendations into the underwriting standards and framework, ensuring safe, profitable unsecured lending growth. What you’ll be doing   Managing a team of Unsecured lending assurance specialists Oversight of unsecured Underwriting, Collections, policies, automated strategies and risk-based pricing Expert judgement and support to enhance standards across the credit lifecycle Identifying both opportunities and weaknesses in automated credit decisions Oversight of wider credit process embedded within the store network and contact centre Identification and escalation of issues within the credit process, ensuring relevant actions are raised and monitored Management and development of control processes within the Credit process ensuring risks are being adequately mitigated  Managing a team of people to develop and enhance data driven analytical insight into the unsecured portfolios delivering enhanced credit risk management and improving customer outcomes.  We need you to have  Excellent knowledge of Unsecured lending products and the wider market Previous experience of successfully leading or oversight of both manual and automated decisions across the credit lifecycle Demonstrable experience with using analytical tools e.g. SAS Experienced in developing and interpreting data to produce analytics with a tenacity to look beyond headline information to identify inconsistent trends Skilled in building trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels Proficient in communicating challenging messages High motivation and the ability to inspire and develop colleagues.
