The Company
My client are a recycling and waste management company and they are industry leading in their respective industry. Globally they turn over north of £3bn a year. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team and help keep the site running as efficiently as possible and help them to tackle reducing waste. They have been established for over 20 years now and in the UK alone they have a few key sites. With a team of over 4,000 around the world they are always expanding. On site they welcome end of line vehicles, waste electricals and large domestic appliances also working on cables. The company are very successful in their market, offering excellent employee benefits, fantastic training, progression and a great culture to work within.
The Role
As a Mechanical fitter your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Reactive and PPM work including monitoring records, oiling and cleaning, comprehensive service
- Replacing like for like Mechanical Components
- Working on Shredders, Sheers, Mobile Plant Equipment, general equipment, granulators, Presses and specialist process machinery
- Regular Maintenance work working alongside a Planned Schedule
- Working on sealers, valves, pumps, bearings, belts, conveyors, mechanical installations, hydraulic equipment
The Candidate
I am looking for a Mechanical fitter that
- Has a recognised engineering qualification
- Can work as part of a team but also take responsibility when needed
- Happy to work in a heavy background and get their hands dirty
