Underground Chief Mining Engineer
~ Long-life African UG Mine Operation
~6/3 FIFO roster from anywhere

We are seeking an experienced and projects-focused Underground Chief Mining Engineer to join this long-standing African operation. In this pivotal role you will assist the Mine Manager with planning, scheduling, coordination, monitoring and management of all underground projects.
Reporting to the UG Mine Manager your key responsibilities will include:
Planning and scheduling of the underground projects and update project schedules as required
Manage, control, and coordinate all Underground technical services departments; Blasting, Ventilation, Survey, Geology & Geotechnical.
Optimising mine designs and layouts in accordance with best mine procedures and standards
Financial tracking of underground projects, budgets, and capital expenditure
Development of cost models in and financial analysis for all underground operations
Development, review, monitoring and management of the execution plan
Technical audits and evaluation, including mining methods, infrastructure, designs, schedules, and financials
Experience in developing and managing underground feasibility study projects.
Degree in Mining Engineering
Qualification in Business Administration/Project Management
Extensive experience in hard rock underground mining
Technical Report writing, A good knowledge of the mineral reporting codes, including the NI43-101 and JORC code.
