Metrology Technician

Metrology Engineer CMM Salary range                    Dependant on experience Location                           Pickering, North Yorkshire Hours                               Day Shift or Night Shift (10pm-6am) MDE are hiring for an experienced Metrology Engineer with CMM experience to join a busy manufacturing business specialising in the measurement of precision engineered parts As a Metrology Engineer, you would be responsilble for  Ensure the calibration system is in adherence to the systems or customer specific requirements. Carry out product measurements using the coordinate measurement machine (CMM) and laser scanner. Ensure that all reports are formatted to requirements analysis completed prior to distribution. Ensure adherence to internal timing plans for measurement programs. Coach and guide others on the correct use of gauging in the manufacturing environment. Coordinate measurement systems analysis and statistical process control studies. Person Specification: Degree, HND or HNC in an engineering or technical discipline. Works with precision and attention to detail. Proficient in the use of coordinate measurement machines (CMM) and the use of PCDIMS (or similar) software. Experience with optical measurement. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Experience with problem solving techniques. Minimum 2 years' service in a similar role. Please note all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK
