Senior CRM Ops Manager


This is a 12 month fixed term contract for a UK based utility company who primarily adhere to hybrid first working options with an office in central London. What you’ll do

This is a high growth, entrepreneurial environment, best suited to an ambitious and creative thinker:

  • You will have accountability, within Marketing, for Braze. Including but not exclusive to owning and continually optimising the data feeds in and out of the system, re-contracting forecasting, platform functionality and usage, WoW and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • You will lead on CRM Ops best practice, data strategy and platform strategy.
  • You will support the team in creating and maintaining more efficient WoW using the Asana platform and any other third party tools that may be needed.
  • You will collaborate with the CRM Leads with designing and building or QA’ing automation programs and ad-hoc campaigns in the marketing automation platform, across email, SMS, Push, and WhatsApp.
  • You will work very closely with the Marketing team to shape the campaigns and the comms agenda, Product teams to ensure the journey is performing and consistent across the end-to-end journeys and with our Data and Creative teams to help execute
  • You will serve as the CRM Ops specialist in the Marketing Team and you’ll be a mentor and expert to the extended Partner Marketing team when it comes to tool democratisation.


About you (Qualifications/Experience)

Technical

  • Significant experience using one of the major CRM solutions, ideally Braze but not essential
  • Expert knowledge of email and messaging best practice, set-up and deliverability requirements
  • Very good knowledge of at least one scripting language (ideally Liquid), and ability to solve coding challenges to manipulate data and implement decision logic
  • Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS coding for email comms
  • Good understanding of data flows and data infrastructure, including the ability to work with data arrays/nested objects and json-formatted data.
  • Experience using APIs/real-time events data to retrieve information and use in segmentation or personalisation

  • An interest in and ability to pick up new technologies quickly in collaboration with other members of the team.
  • A desire to drive a positive culture (putting the customer at the heart of decisions) and strong business ethics (doing the right thing) to ensure good outcomes for consumers.


Desirable:

  • Previous user of Braze and data integration
  • Previous use of Postman for Braze testing and JSON coding
  • Knowledge of wider utilities/financial service/consumer issues and products
  • Recent experience of working in a Financial Services / Utilities company
  • Ability to conduct full QA on email or similar, including but not exclusive to copy review, render checking, customer journey scenario testing etc.
  • Good SQL skills for data validation and QA
  • Experience with various data transfer and configuration file formats such as CSV, JSON, XML
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, using project tracking software such as Asana, Smartsheets, Linear, Float, Trello, etc.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g. Looker/Tableau/Power BI/Google Data Studio).
  • Awareness of data security and privacy requirements
  • An understanding of the risks posed to customers when buying subscription-based or financial products and how to mitigate them
