Langley has a fantastic opportunity for an organised, friendly and team orientated Relief Cook with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our busy and friendly team in Taunton. This role is a relief role where the hours will be as and when required, including sometimes weekend work, on a 0-hours contract. The successful candidate will receive an hourly rate of £12.65 per hour as well as other great BENEFITS:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving well balanced and nutritious food and ensuring that food is stored according to food hygiene legislation
  • Promoting high standards and complying with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Carrying out food and fridge temperature checks, and recording as necessary
  • Interacting with our service users daily
  • Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the cleaning schedule is adhered to.

About The House of St Martin

House of St Martin is a Registered care home for men with multiple needs, including substance misuse, mental health needs or a learning disability. It is located three miles from Taunton and set in six acres of beautiful countryside. The home is registered to support 31 men, offering full-board catering. We provide a safe calm environment from which men can plan their next steps and grow in independence.
